They say your first child changes your life completely, and this store is in part the result of it. Having our first daughter meant worrying about diapers, baby food, imposed curfews and most certainly about clothes.

I grew up in Spain where, according to The Local, "children wear ‘Sunday best’ not just on Sundays". Soon every visit to Spain turned into a shopping trip to find clothes for my daughter for the next season. 

The cute dresses and outfits I got for her always attracted compliments from everyone here in Austin, Texas. That made me dream of one day starting my own business importing children’s clothes from Spain... 

When we had our second, it all got even more complicated. I wanted my children to wear matching outfits and we ran out of space in our suitcases pretty quickly. It was time to start turning my dream into reality... Purse & Cook was born!

In founding Purse & Cook, we would like to give back a little to this beautiful country - the United States of America - that welcomed us with open arms, unique opportunities, and remarkable landscapes. We hope to add some spice to this melting pot!
